Birthday Freebies Galore!

It's my birthday tomorrow, and it's got me thinking about mortality. That, and how much free stuff I can rake in.

Lots of stores and restaurants - particularly those of the junk food persuasion - offer perks to customers on their birthdays. Often, you are required to sign up to a mailing list or "club" in order to receive the benefits, but I suggest you get sneaky and create a separate email address for this purpose.

- Coldstone Creamery: A free cup of ice cream with one mix-in, plus a $3 off coupon for any cake.

- Dairy Queen: Sign up to their Blizzard Fan Club and you'll get a buy-one-get-one-free coupon on your b'day.

- Baskin Robbins: Yet more free ice cream (note: it's not going to be a happy birthday if you cash in on all of these).

- Orange Julius: Coupon from the OJ Quench Club.

- Jack Astor's: : "Free gift" on your birthday if you join the VIP club.

- Yuk Yuk's : Free shows on the week of your birthday in Mississauga, Halifax and Vaughan.

- Red Robin: Free burger.

- RW & CO: 25% discount on the week of your birthday.

- Starbucks: Free drink if you register a card.

- Medieval Times: Free feast and tournament.

- Denny's: Free meal.
