Getting your home ready for sale is stressful enough without having to get it ready for its close-up. That's why many homeowners are turning to professional home stagers who take away some of that stress away, by getting rid of items, bringing in up-to-date furnishings and large pieces of artwork, hiring painters and landscapers and transforming your home into magazine-worthy shape.
WalletPop spoke with Anne Bourne of StagingWorks in Toronto, who gave us a summary of the scope of work that a stager can take on, and the approximate costs involved. One cost-saving measure is to hire a home stager to prepare a report recommending all the things that should be changed or updated before a home is put on the market, and then do the work yourself.
