Filed under: Health, House & Home, Product Recalls

Its all about the little ones items in this week's recall report - so keep your eyes open for these products:

Health Canada has issued a recall for Dora the Explorer, Sesame Street and Spider-Man water bottles, as the stopper can potentially come out, posing a hazard to children.

The plastic water bottles have a pull up spout, are marked with the brand FAIGIE and the item #10-3003582.

Consumers are asked to stop using the water bottles and dispose of them. Almost 350,000 bottles were sold at Dollarama from December 2007 until December 2011.

For more information, please contact Dollarama at 1-888-755-1006.
Health Canada has issued a recall for Zip Zap Sleepers by Brecrest Babywear Inc., as the clothing does not meet the flammability requirement for children's sleepwear in Canada.

The recalled sleepers are in sizes 3/6 months and 6/9 months, have the style #ZZ0431 and identified by another label CA 00108. The 100% cotton sleepwear is available in a variety of colours and is long-sleeved.

Over 500 sleepers were sold at Winners between November and December 2011.

These sleepers have previously been recalled by Health Canada in November 2011. Consumers are asked to return the clothing to Winners for a full refund.

IKEA, Health Canada and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued a joint recall for the ANTILOP children's high chair belt. The belt can unexpectedly open during use, creating a safety hazard for the child.

There have been eight reports of belt openings and three reports of minor injuries. Thirty six thousand of the product was sold from July 2006 until November 2009 at IKEA locations across Canada.

Consumers are asked to contact IKEA for a replacement belt at 1-800-661-9807.

The Compliments Muscle and Back Pain Relief Regular Strength has a mistake on the label and is being recalled by Vita Health. The products recalled include the following:
0K078B27ZI, 0K078B29VL, IA100B2AQH, 1H106B2GVP and 1H106B2HJJ in 18 tablet packages.

Parents should be aware the medicine should not be administered to children under the age of 12. In the labeling under the French dosing instructions, the labels mistakenly states from age 2 and up and should read from age 12 and up.

Consumers can contact Vita Health Customer Service at 1-800-665-8820 for more information.
