Black Friday: Conrad Black is Almost a Free Man
Filed under: Celebs & Money
Black is back. And we in the media love the prospect, if only because we get to write about one of our most infamous scoundrels.Though he unfairly derided journalists more than once, we might forgive him, because his famous arrogance contributed to his downfall. He returns to his native land chastened, and much wiser about what it's like to be poor, uneducated and stuck in America's prison system. We hope he gives some thought to writing about that, and helping the Harper government understand the downside of a system that punishes first without giving enough thought to other aspects of the correctional system, like rehabilitation and victims services.
From the little he's said to the press, it sounds like Lord Black would like to reenter this country with considerably less fuss than when he last left. All well and good, but this time, let him use his considerable gifts to contribute something to the greater good of Canada.

unfortunately many people i asked did not know what a white collar crime is .neither did i before this case .my understanding is
eg! Mr >Bush snending troops into Sadam country even though he was not sure there were any WMDs there
2 .after spending billions of dollars on hour hockey teems we have nothing to show for the past 16 years .that is clearcut case here
if so many people are involved in white collar crime ,than Mr.Black courageously paid his dues and he is a freeman now .
to me to day is just like all other fridays .
