Recall Report SawFrom the workshop to the bedroom, its a unique list of items in this week's Recall Report:

Health Canada has issued a recall for the Skil Miter Saw, due to the possibility of a lower guard hub breaking during operation and poses a safety hazard for users. Some of the saws were packaged with a Skil table saw, which is not included in the recall.

The Skil Miter Saws involved in the recall are model numbers 331601 and 331602 and date codes 111, 112, 201, 202, 203 and 204.

Over 600 saws were sold from January 2012 until April 2012 at Canadian Tire, The Home Depot and Rona.

Consumers are asked to contact Robert Bosch Tool Corporation for a complimentary lower guard hub replacement kit at 1-888-727-6109.Recall Report ChairHealth Canada has issued a recall for the Evenflo convertible high chair due to the possibility of the activity tray unexpectedly detaching and allowing an unrestrained child to fall from the chair.

The Evenflo convertible high chair can transform from a high chair to a toddler size table and chair. The models involved in the recall are Dottie Lime 29111259 and Mariana 29111234.

There have been 18 reports of children falling due to this safety hazard in the United States. Over 700 of the convertible high chairs were sold in Canada from December 2011 until June 2012 at retailers across the country.

Consumers should contact Evenflo Company Inc. for a replacement activity tray at 1-800-265-0749.

Health Canada, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Samuel Lawrence Furniture have issued a recall for the Bordeaux Collection king and queen size sleigh beds in cherry finish. Each bed comes with a set of side rails.

The hardware that connects the headboard and footboard can detach, causing the bed to collapse. Approximately 1250 Bordeaux bed frames were sold in Canada between August 2009 until April 2012 in Canada.

Consumers are asked to contact Samuel Lawrence Furniture at 1-866-572-9899 for a free repair kit.

Kimberly Clark Professional Corporation has voluntarily recalled its Kleenex Luxury Foam Hand Sanitizer due to microbial contamination. Those with compromised or weakened immune systems are susceptible to this health risk, especially those with Cystic Fibrosis.

The product is sold in one and 1.2 litre containers and used in public spaces and workplaces. Over 400 containers were sold in Canada. For more information, check the Health Canada report here.
