University educations have been in the news lately, with student protests in Quebec dominating headlines for months, and this week's global ranking of universities, which included several Canadian institutions on its hallowed list.

But what does an undergraduate degree cost these days? For anyone who hasn't entered the halls of a post-secondary institution lately, the sticker shock of a bachelor degree might surprise you. There's quite a range - from $2649 in Newfoundland and Labrador, to fees almost three times that elsewhere in the country.
