Years ago, a family friend used to wrap all her gifts in the coloured comics from our local newspaper. As kids we thought it odd but inspired, as we got to read the comics after opening our presents. Nowadays, few of us subscribe to a paper, and the funny pages have all but disappeared. Fortunately there are lots of other ways to wrap presents without spending a fortune.
