I used to regularly read the flyers that came in the weekend newspaper, as much a part of the experience as reading the style section or the opinion page. But as I shifted to read more of my news online, my flyer reading also stopped.

So when I heard about Flyerland.ca, I didn't know if I wanted to look at the flyers online. Would it be the same experience as having the colour photographs claiming my attention with their headlines of discounted prices and seasonal specials?

This weekend, it's conceivable that you'll be in Shoppers Drug Mart searching for a remedy for gas, but find yourself emerging with a $20 gift card for more gas.

From April 10 to 12, Shoppers is offering a free $20 Esso gift card when you spend $75 or more.

The deal excludes, well, lots. Ready? Here we go: exclusions include prescriptions, bonus points, Shoppers Optimum Mastercard points, products that contain codeine, non-pointable items, tobacco products, lottery tickets, passport photos, stamps, transit tickets and passes, event tickets, electronic gift cards, prepaid phone cards, Life Experiences packages and Shoppers Home Healthcare locations.

Also, it can't be used in conjunction with any other points promotions or offers.

Get a $10 promo card from Canadian Tire when you drop $40 or more before taxes in the store. The deal is only valid today (March 9), so strike while the tire iron is hot!

Note that the $40 can't be spent on gift cards, auto service labour or Mark's Work Wearhouse merchandise.
