Experts Turn Bullish On Canadian Stocks

It's been a year of ups and downs for the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), but the experts believe the market has finally turned for the better.

The TSX composite index started the week off above the 12,600-mark, just below its 52-week high of 12,710. The index has been on an upwards trend since July and this month broke above its last high in May, which occurred right before the index took a bit of a slide. Breaching that level is a good technical sign.

Financial advisors say they now expect the TSX to rise over the remainder of 2010. A survey of more than 100 Canadian investment advisors by BetaPro Management found that advisors expect broad-based increases in equity indexes in the last three months of the year after most indexes performed well in the third quarter.
