If you're looking for last-minute stocking stuffers, you just might be surprised by what you can find at dollar stores for a buck or two. I discovered ten cool tools that will make great and inexpensive stocking stuffers for the gadget-happy people at your house.

Protective case for 3G and 3Gs iPhones - This case won't fit the latest iPhone models, but if you know someone with an older model, this clear protective case is only a buck at Dollarama.

Security lock for iPod - This clever little gizmo fits most iPods, iPhones and iPads. It connects to the Apple dock on the bottom of your gadget and has a 3-digit combination lock to help deter thieves, although I wouldn't count on it to foil a determined robber.

Gifts for Guys: Home Hardware Coupons

Filed under: Bargains & Freebies, Bargains, Daily Deal, House & Home, Shopping, Holidays

Being of the female persuasion myself, sometimes I fear the bulk of my posts lean toward the girly side.

Well, today I'm going to counterbalance that trend by offering up this set of ultra manly coupons from Home Hardware.

Some of the items (hammer drill) make for good gifts. Others might be handy for giving someone a nudge to get the Christmas lights up, already (green extension cord). And of course, nothing says "Merry Christmas, my love" like a snow shovel.

The coupons net up to 70% off, and are valid until December 18, 2010.

Dollarama Tools Solid Choice For Home Use

When I first started shopping at Dollarama, I bought a small plastic tool box, a 10" metal claw hammer, a measuring tape and assorted pliers for a buck each. I still have them. Granted, I'm not exactly a handywoman, but I still think those dollar store tools were a great buy; solidly made, with a life expectancy of years to come.

Thanks to inflation, the tools at Dollarama today will cost you up to $2, but they are still good value for money. Dollarama has even brought back the little black tool box for a toonie, perfect for tucking into a closet so you don't have to rummage around the basement or garage to find the right tool for a small job.

So, here's the tool story on what else you'll find in the hardware section at Dollarama now:
