Job-related searches are down by 20 per cent compared to the same time in 2011. Employment insurance-related searches are off 66 per cent since January of this year, too.
What does it mean for you?
Prince Edward Island, North West Territories, Yukon, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia were the provinces that searched for the term 'EI' the most frequently in the last 12 months. In contrast, Alberta and Saskatchewan search for 'EI' less frequently.
Also, searches for part-time jobs have been at an all-time high since 2004, possibly confirming an increased rise in the cost of living.
