Buy a tote bag from the person's favorite store and hide the store's gift card under a bunch of tissue paper. One year, I bought my book-loving daughter a gift card from Chapters, along with their reusable tote bag. I put the gift card in the inside pocket of the tote and filled it with tissue paper. It was fun to see the look of puzzlement on her face at the seemingly empty bag until I took pity on her and told her where to look.
