Bushes and bulbs: Fall is when you stock up on all the perennials - and it's the perfect time to put them in the ground as well. Plant those scraggly bushes now for gorgeous displays in the spring. Same goes for spring bulbs, which will pick up your drab post-winter, bare bones garden next April and May.
